Donna Mae Jones

Donna Mae Jones, 68, of Tilton, IL passed away peacefully on February 27, 2026.

She was born on June 8, 1958, in Danville IL to the parents Frederick Duane Jones and Barbara Mae Jones (Lappin). They preceded her in death. Also preceding were her brother and sister-in-law, Mark and Marylynn Jones, and sister-in-law Carla “Sally” Jones (Wells).

Donna was a deeply devoted family member and friend who lived her life treasuring her family above all else. She found her greatest happiness in time spent together sharing stories, laughter, and simple everyday moments that meant everything to her.

She had a special love for cats. Her cats were more than pets, they were family. Whether rescuing, nurturing or simply enjoying their company, a cat was always there in her life.

Donna moved to California with her mom in her early teenage years and resided there until 2013. She moved back to Illinois after that to be closer to her family. While she lived in California, she made friends that became close family that lasted a lifetime.

Donna will be remembered for her warm heart, her steady presence, and the comfort she brought to those around her. Her memory will remain a blessing to all who knew her.

Donna is survived by her siblings Steve Jones, Connie Jones of Tilton, Niece Tonia (Danny) Barnes, great niece Kaylie Jones, and great nephew Bradey Barnes of Veedersburg IN.

A private service will be held with close family.

She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
